У п’ятницю, 28 квітня, на Радіоасамблеї Європейської мовної спілки виконавчу продюсерку Радіо Культура Ірину Славінську обрано членкинею Радіокомітету.

Обрання відбулося шляхом таємного голосування делегатами від суспільних мовників-членів ЄМС. За десять крісел комітету змагалося сімнадцятеро кандидатів і кандидаток. 

За словами Ірини Славінської, центральні напрями роботи Радіокомітету ЄМС будуть визначені у червні, коли відбудеться перша зустріч для підготовки плану на рік. 

«Особисто для мене важливим сюжетом є робота медіа в часи війни — тема безпеки журналістів, доступності радіомовлення, протидії дезінформації. Чимало уваги я планую приділяти й темі прав людини, зокрема видимості жінок у медіа. Мої колеги у своїх виступах також чимало говорили про виклики розвитку радіо в світі цифрових технологій і звичок споживання — зокрема особливостям роботи з лінійним радіоефіром, з прямим ефіром, живим мовленням і спілкуванням, які неможливо відтворити у форматах цифрового контенту on demand. Тож чимало уваги, припускаю, ми приділятимемо й стратегіям розвитку контенту та інновацій», — зазначила Ірина Славінська.

З чотирнадцяти членів оновленого Радіокомітету сім представляють мовники  країн Центральної та Східної Європи. Також Ірина Славінська зазначила, що для неї дуже важливо працювати в Комітеті, де майже половину складу становлять жінки (шість жінок, включаючи голову комітету, та вісім чоловіків).

«Моя робота як виконавчої продюсерки Радіо Культура стане добрим підґрунтям для роботи в Радіокомітеті ЄМС. В нинішньому складі комітету є чимало практиків, так би мовити, “граючих тренерів” із власним радіодосвідом. Думаю, дуже важливо мати саме такий рух на два боки, аби і найкращий досвід мовників інших країн світу приносити у свої редакції, і ділитися власними інсайтами з колегами з інших країн. Я це відчула, виступаючи на подіумній дискусії, що відкривала цьогорічну Радіоасамблею: розповідала про наш український досвід роботи з культурним контентом в часи війни, а у відповідь чула, як багато власних паралелей і резонансів звідти винесли колеги з інших мовників», — розповіла Ірина Славінська.

Нагадаємо, Радіокомітет ЄМС є головним органом, що визначає політику в аудіосекторі. Комітет працює в інтересах усіх членів радіоспільноти. 

Основні завдання Радіокомітету ЄМС:

• визначення стратегічних пріоритетів для радіосектору з головною метою залучення більшої кількості членів до виробництва, обміну та розповсюдження самобутнього й успішного контенту;
• підтримка членів в інноваціях, трансформації та в кризових ситуаціях;
• підтримка членів і надання їм необхідної допомоги в розробці стратегій у відповідь на європейські зміни в галузі радіо;
• систематичний моніторинг та порівняльний аналіз обсягу й ефективності діяльності радіосектору;
• створення і нагляд за роботою експертних і проєктних груп, за необхідності, керівництво поточною роботою;
• у співпраці з іншими комітетами визначення ключових повідомлень сектору радіо, організація заходів суспільного радіо, а також відображення та покращення профілю діяльності радіо;
• активне сприяння процвітанню обміну радіопрограмами та іншими лінійними і нелінійними видами радіодіяльності, пов'язаними з контентом;
• формулювання спільних позицій, де це можливо, між усіма членами-радіокомпаніями та спільна робота з телевізійними та мультимедійними партнерами;
• управління розподілом коштів Фонду радіоінновацій.

Iryna Slavinska elected a member of the EBU Radio Committee

On Friday, April 28, at the Radio Assembly of the European Broadcasting Union, Radio Kultura's executive producer Iryna Slavinska was elected a member of the Radio Committee.

The election took place by secret ballot by delegates from public broadcasters — EBU members. Eighteen candidates competed for the fourteen seats on the committee. 

According to Iryna Slavinska, the central areas of work of the EBU Radio Committee will be determined in June, when the first meeting will be held to prepare a plan for the year.

"For me personally, an important topic is the work of the media in times of war — the safety of journalists, accessibility of radio broadcasting, and countering disinformation. I also plan to pay a lot of attention to human rights, including the visibility of women in the media. In their speeches, my colleagues also talked a lot about the challenges of radio development in the world of digital technologies and consumption habits, in particular, the peculiarities of working with linear radio, live broadcasting and communication that cannot be reproduced in digital content on demand formats. So, I assume, we will also pay a lot of attention to content development and innovation strategies," noted Iryna Slavinska.

Of the fourteen members of the renewed Radio Committee, seven represent broadcasters from Central and Eastern Europe. Iryna Slavinska also noted that it is very important for her to work in the Committee, where almost half of the members are women (six women, including the chairman of the committee, and eight men).

"My work as an executive producer at Radio Kultura will be a good basis for my work in the EBURadio Committee. There are many practitioners among the current members of the Committee who are , so to speak, "playing coaches" with their own radio experience. I think it's very important to have this kind of two-way traffic, to bring the best practices of broadcasters from other countries to our newsrooms and to share our own insights with colleagues foreign . I felt this when I was speaking at the podium discussion that opened this year's Radio Assembly: I spoke about our Ukrainian experience of working with cultural content during the war, and in response I heard how many of my own parallels and resonances were drawn from colleagues from other broadcasters," said Iryna Slavinska.

As a reminder, the EBU Radio Committee is the main policy-making body in the audio sector. The Committee works in the interests of all members of the radio community. 

The main tasks of the EBU Radio Committee are:

• setting strategic priorities for the radio sector with the main goal of engaging more members in the production, sharing and distribution of distinctive and successful content;

• supporting members in innovation, transformation and crisis situations;

• supporting members and providing them with the necessary assistance in developing strategies in response to European changes in the radio industry;

• systematic monitoring and benchmarking of the scope and performance of the radio sector;

• establishing and supervising the work of expert and project groups, and, if necessary, guiding ongoing work;

• in cooperation with other Committees, define key messages of the radio sector, organise public radio events, and reflect and improve the profile of radio activities;

• actively promote the flourishing of radio program exchange and other linear and non-linear content-related radio activities;

• formulating common positions, where possible, between all radio member companies and working together with television and multimedia partners;

• managing the distribution of the Radio Innovation Fund.
