29 березня під час проведення форуму East Doc Platform у столиці Чехії Празі показали документальний фільм «Щедрик проти “русского міра”», створений на замовлення Суспільне Культура командою «Prosto production».

Показ відбувся у Французькому інституті у Празі за ініціативи виконавчого продюсера телеканалу Суспільне Культура Лук’яна Галкіна та за сприяння французької агенції з розвитку ЗМІ та журналістської освіти CFI Media Development.

«Сенси фільму “Щедрик проти “русского мира” не втрачають актуальності, адже, до прикладу, досі бачимо лобіювання діалогу з так званими “хорошими росіянами” у західному світі. Показ у Празі зокрема важливий тим, що фільм має цілий чеський епізод, який красномовно свідчить про шлях, пройдений нашими країнами за сто років. На цьому шляху недовіра та нерозуміння еволюціонували у дружбу й партнерство. Важливо також, що чеський композитор і диригент Ярослав Кржичка став одним з тих, хто заклав підвалини успіху капели Кошиця в Європі. Кржичка не тільки визнав виключність музичного таланту українців, а й наголосив, що змішувати Україну з міфом “братнього” російського народу є тяжкою образою — про це, власне, йдеться у фільмі. Тож бачити сьогодні Прагу з українським прапором мало не на кожній історичній будівлі — означає вкотре переконатися в успіху дипломатичної місії Кошиця та Петлюри, що подарували Заходу феноменальну мелодію Леонтовича», — розповів виконавчий продюсер телеканалу Суспільне Культура Лук’ян Галкін.

Переглянути стрічку «Щедрик проти “русского міра”» прийшли представники українських дипломатичних установ, громадських організацій, культурно-освітніх центрів у Празі. Зокрема, завітали тимчасовий повірений у справах України в Чеській Республіці Віталій Усатий та наукова співробітниця Національної бібліотеки Чеської Республіки, яка взяла участь у створенні фільму, Рита Кіндлерова.

Творці фільму «Щедрик проти “русского міра”» презентують захопливу, сповнену пригод історію світового турне хорової капели диригента Олександра Кошиці 1919–1924 років. За збігом сучасної історії сюжет фільму порушує низку актуальних проблем сьогодення — протидії російській культурній експансії та пропаганді, питання культурної дипломатії України, місця українського культурного продукту у світі та його боротьби за себе.

Нагадаємо, з 24 по 30 березня делегація від Суспільного брала участь у найбільшому форумі копродукції, фінансування та дистрибуції для документального кіно з Центральної та Східної Європи — East Doc Platform. На форумі було презентовано діяльність Національної суспільної телерадіокомпанії України та добірку найкращих документальних проєктів за 2022 рік. Візит української делегації відбувся за сприяння французької агенції з розвитку ЗМІ та журналістської освіти CFI, у межах проєкту Media Fit, у партнерстві з Інститутом документального кіно (Чехія).

The film Shchedryk proty “russkoho mira” (Shchedryk Against the russian world) screened in Prague

On March 29, during the East Doc Platform forum in Prague, the Czech capital, the documentary film Shchedryk proty “russkoho mira” (Shchedryk Against the russian world), created by the “Prosto production” team at the request of Suspilne Kultura TV channel, was screened.

The screening took place at the French Institute in Prague on the initiative of Lukian Galkin, executive producer of the Suspilne Kultura TV channel, and with the support of CFI Media Development, a French agency for media development and journalism education.

"The messages of the film “Shchedryk Against the russian world” remain relevant, because, for example, we still see lobbying for a dialogue with the so-called "good russians" in the Western world. The screening in Prague is particularly important because the film includes a whole Czech episode, which eloquently testifies to the path that our countries have passed over the past hundred years. On this path, distrust and misunderstanding evolved into friendship and partnership. It is also important that the Czech composer and conductor Jaroslav Krzychka was one of those who laid the foundations for the success of the Košice Chapel in Europe. Krzychka not only recognized the exceptional musical talent of Ukrainians, but also emphasized that it is a grave insult to mix Ukraine with the myth of the "brotherly" russian people, which is what the film is about. So to see Prague today with a Ukrainian flag on almost every historic building means to once again see the success of the diplomatic mission of Košice and Petliura, who presented the West with Leontovych's phenomenal melody," said Lukian Galkin, executive producer of Suspilne Kultura TV channel.

Representatives of Ukrainian diplomatic missions, NGOs, and cultural and educational centres in Prague came to watch the film Shchedryk proty “russkoho mira” (Shchedryk against the russian world). In particular, Charge d'Affaires of Ukraine in the Czech Republic Vitaliy Usatyi and Rita Kindlerova, a researcher at the National Library of the Czech Republic, who took part in the film's creation, attended the screening.

The creators of the film present a fascinating, adventurous story of the world tour of the choir chapel conducted by Oleksandr Koshytsia in 1919-1924. As a coincidence of modern history, the film's plot raises a number of topical issues of our time: countering russian cultural expansion and propaganda, the issue of Ukraine's cultural diplomacy, the place of Ukrainian cultural product in the world and its struggle for itself.

From March 24 to March 30, the delegation from Suspilne participated in the East Doc Platform, the largest forum for co-production, financing and distribution for documentary films from Central and Eastern Europe. The forum presented the activities of the Suspilne Ukraine and a selection of the best documentary projects for 2022. The visit of the Ukrainian delegation was supported by the French agency for media development and journalism education CFI, as part of the Media Fit project, in partnership with the Documentary Film Institute (Czech Republic).

Suspilne Ukraine is the largest independent media outlet in Ukraine, which includes the national TV channels Pershyi and Suspilne Kultura, and the public radio channels Ukrainian Radio, Radio Promin, Radio Kultura, as well as 24 regional TV and radio companies.
