Суспільне Мовлення є ключовим стовпом сильної демократії, а його реформу називають однією з найуспішніших в Україні. Про це розповів Микола Чернотицький, голова правління Суспільного Мовлення, в інтерв'ю японському суспільному мовнику NHK. 

«Ми молода компанія і молодий суспільний мовник. Створення Суспільного Мовлення в Україні було вимогою Ради Європи. Оскільки Україна отримала статус кандидата на членство в ЄС, відповідно, Суспільне Мовлення — має бути, без цього не може бути демократії. Це не завжди розуміють у владі, і нам доводиться всі роки нашого існування це доводити, відстоювати незалежність», — розповів Микола японським колегам.

Говорячи про воєнні обмеження, які запровадив уряд, він додав, що ставиться до них із розумінням: «Логічні обмеження, які накладає воєнний стан, зараз не обмежують свободу слова. Однак ми розуміємо, особливо у ці часи, що є ризик, коли воєнні обмеження можуть перейти в політичні. Наше завдання як мовника в тому числі відстоювати свободу слова і не допустити таких перетворень». 

При цьому він звернув увагу, що мають бути однакові та прозорі правила акредитації для журналістів від Міністерства оборони України: «Я за те, щоб були чіткі, прозорі правила — зрозумілі всім учасникам процесу. Тоді це знімає більшість питань, у такому разі неважливо, чи це військові, влада або журналісти. Одні мають поважати роботу інших і навпаки, і всі розуміють, які обмеження накладає повномасштабна війна. Я за те, щоб були логічні і зрозумілі правила для всіх».

"The task of Suspilne Ukraine is to defend freedom of speech," Mykola Chernotytskyi

Suspilne Ukraine is a key pillar of a strong democracy, and its reform is called one of the most successful in Ukraine. This was stated by Mykola Chernotytskyi, Head of Suspilne Ukraine Managing Board, in an interview with the Japanese public broadcaster NHK. 

"We are a young company and a young public broadcaster. The creation of Public Broadcasting in Ukraine was a requirement of the Council of Europe. Since Ukraine has been granted the status of an EU candidate, there is a must that Public Broadcasting has to be, as there can be no democracy without it. This is not always understood by the authorities, and we have to prove it during all years of our existence," Mykola told his Japanese colleagues.

Speaking about the military restrictions imposed by the Government, he added that he understood such measures: "The logical restrictions imposed by martial law do not restrict freedom of speech now. However, we understand, especially in these times, that there is a risk that military restrictions may turn into political ones. Our task as a broadcaster is to defend freedom of speech and prevent such transformations." 

He also drew attention to the need for uniform and transparent accreditation rules for journalists from the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine: "I am in favour of clear, transparent rules that are clearto all participants in the process. Then it removes most of the questions, no matter whether it is the military, the government or journalists. The oneshave to respect the work of others and vice versa, and everyone understands the restrictions imposed by a full-scale war. I am in favour of logical and clear rules for everyone."
