Польське телебачення TVP у співпраці з Суспільним Мовленням організовує конкурс «Таланти: Україна!» на кращий сценарій телесеріалу для авторів з України, де аудіовізуальний сектор переживає кризу через військову агресію росії. Проєкт є частиною 2-го Міжнародного телевізійного фестивалю «Серце Європи».

Переможці конкурсу на найкращий серіал отримають грошові винагороди, а сценарії запропонують Польському телебаченню TVP для подальшої розробки та виробництва. 

«Я бачу багато українських талантів, які сповнені ідей і проєктів, але їм бракує ресурсів і підтримки для їх реалізації. Оскільки Україна проходить через боротьбу за демократію та свободу, захищаючи спільні цінності та спільну європейську безпеку, я вважаю, що нині — це світова столиця великих історій, які потрібно розповісти прямо зараз. Завдяки цій ініціативі українські автори мають шанс поширювати свої ідеї, намагаючись створити наративи, які б захоплювали як обидві наші країни, так і весь континент. Полякам і українцям судилося краще розуміти одне одного, а серіали — найкращий засіб для цього», — коментує виконавчий продюсер Дирекції телебачення Суспільного Мовлення Ярослав Лодигін, який увійшов у журі цьогорічного конкурсу.

«Я вважаю, що є десятки вартих розповіді історій, які будуть привабливі як для польського, так і для українського глядача. Також ті історії, в яких на екрані переплітатимуться долі поляків та українців, як це відбувається сьогодні на кожному кроці. Історії, які будуть зрозумілі та привабливі для жителів інших європейських країн, — пояснює директор з міжнародного співробітництва TVP Марек Солон-Ліпінскі. —  Конкурс “Таланти: Україна!” допоможе збагатити польське телебачення новою якістю, що несе творчість талановитих авторів з України, які втратили можливість професійно працювати у власній країні. Ми переконані, що наша ініціатива стане цінним напрямом створення нового контенту не лише для TVP, а в довгостроковій перспективі збагатить увесь європейський аудіовізуальний ринок».

Для участі в конкурсі учасники мають:

• бути повнолітніми громадянами України;
• надіслати проєкт сценарію на електронну адресу talents.ukraine@tvp.pl до 21 жовтня 2022 р.

Конкурс сценаристів «Таланти: Україна!» проводиться у межах 2-го Міжнародного телевізійного фестивалю «Серце Європи». Фестиваль є оглядом здобутків суспільних мовників Центральної та Східної Європи. У цьогорічному фестивалі візьмуть участь кінематографісти та мовники з 14 країн: Польщі, Литви, Латвії, Естонії, України, Грузії, Чехії, Словаччини, Угорщини, Словенії, Хорватії, Сербії, Румунії та Болгарії. Серед відібраних робіт визначать переможців у шістьох конкурсних номінаціях.

Фестиваль «Серце Європи» відбудеться 14-17 листопада 2022 року у Варшаві і вперше включатиме Co-Production Forum — індустріальний захід для творців, продюсерів, експертів галузі для налагодження копродукції та комерційної співпраці в Центральній та Східній Європі. Одночасно з конкурсом проєктів «Таланти: Україна!», продовжиться відкрите приймання заявок на Форум копродукції, який включатиме пітчинги художніх фільмів, художніх серіалів і документальних фільмів на різних етапах виробництва.

Polish Television and Suspilne Ukraine organizing a competition for Ukrainian screenwriters

Polish television TVP in cooperation with Suspilne Ukraine organizes the competition Talents: Ukraine! for the best TV series script for authors from Ukraine, where the audiovisual sector is experiencing a crisis due to Russia's military aggression. The project is part of the 2nd International TV Festival Heart of Europe.

The winners of the competition for the best TV series will receive cash prizes, and the scripts will be offered to Polish television TVP for further development and production.

“I see many Ukrainian talents who are full of ideas and projects, but they lack resources and support for their implementation. As Ukraine goes through the struggle for democracy and freedom, defending shared values and shared European security, I believe that it is now the world capital of great stories that need to be told right now. Thanks to this initiative, Ukrainian authors have a chance to spread their ideas, trying to create narratives that would be exciting for both our countries and the entire continent. Poles and Ukrainians are destined to understand each other better, and TV series are the best means for this,” Yaroslav Lodygin, Executive Producer of Suspilne Ukraine Television Directorate, who was a member of the jury of this year's competition, comments.

“I believe that there are dozens of stories worth telling that will be attractive to both Polish and Ukrainian viewers. Also those stories in which the fates of Poles and Ukrainians will be intertwined on the screen, as it happens today at every step. Stories that will be understandable and attractive to residents of other European countries,” Marek Solon-Lipiński, Director of International Relations at TVP, explains. “Competition Talents: Ukraine! will help to enrich Polish television with a new quality that carries the creativity of talented authors from Ukraine who lost the opportunity to work professionally in their own country. We are convinced that our initiative will become a valuable way of creating new content not only for TVP, but in the long run will enrich the entire European audiovisual market."

In order to participate in the competition, participants must:

• be adult citizens of Ukraine;
• send the script draft to the email address talents.ukraine@tvp.pl by 7 October, 2022.

Competition of screenwriters Talents: Ukraine! is held within the framework of the 2nd International TV Festival Heart of Europe. The festival is an overview of the achievements of public broadcasters in Central and Eastern Europe. Filmmakers and broadcasters from 14 countries will participate in this year's festival, namely Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Ukraine, Georgia, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Romania and Bulgaria. Among the selected works, winners will be determined in six competitive nominations.

The festival Heart of Europe will take place on 14-17 November, 2022 in Warsaw and for the first time will include the Co-Production Forum, an industry event for creators, producers, industry experts to establish co-production and commercial cooperation in Central and Eastern Europe. Simultaneously with the project competition Talents: Ukraine!, the open acceptance of applications for the Co-production Forum will continue, which will include pitches for feature films, feature series and documentaries at various stages of production.
