Подкаст Радіо Культура «Країна, схожа на гранат» презентують на Форумі подкастів Європейської мовної спілки у вересні в Осло. За словами виконавчої продюсерки Радіо Культура Ірини Славінської, проєкт потрапив у кластер «Beyond interview — creative approach to podcast formats», разом із подкастами французького та німецького суспільних мовників.

«Це справді дуже креативний формат, створений авторським тандемом Гаськи Шиян та Олександра Михеда з продюсеркою Оленою Гусейновою. Це наша спроба попрацювати з форматом, який би адекватно звучав і як радіопрограма, і як подкаст, — зазначила Ірина Славінська. — Знову повторю, наскільки важливо звіряти годинники з глобальним контекстом. І знову відчую гордість за команду, що створює проєкти, котрі гідно звучать разом із найкращими світовими проєктами. Відбір на Форум подкастів  — суворий, в попередні роки ми цю планку ще долали. Але виросли  —  й тепер потрапимо в глобальний каталог проєктів, які надаються для адаптації іноземними мовами».

Письменники Гаська Шиян і Олександр Михед створили у квітні цього року радіоблог, який вийшов під назвою «Україна очима мандрівників» на Радіо Культура і як подкаст під назвою «Країна, схожа на гранат». Назва «Країна, схожа на гранат» апелює до вислову Павла Халебського про Україну: «Ця благословенна країна схожа на гранат, привабливий зовні й поживний усередині». Якою побачили українську козацьку державу мандрівник Павло Халебський, військовий інженер Гійом де Боплан та французький драматург Проспер Меріме. Які відмінності між українцями й росіянами у післявоєнному СРСР зафіксували лауреат Пулітцерівської премії Джон Стейнбек і засновник фотожурналістики Роберт Капа. Як визначили українську “ностальгію за майбутнім” в сучасному українському Донбасі французький журналіст Себастьєн Гоберт і швейцарський фотограф Нільс Акерманн. А також ще майже два десятки історій про те, як в різні часи світ відкривав для себе Україну можна послухати тут. 

Радіо Культура — головний осередок культурного життя країни в радіопросторі. На час воєнного стану мовить по буднях з 12:00 до 19:00.  В ефірі можна почути програми про актуальні культурні події України й світу, історичні рубрики та найкращі зразки класичної музики, улюблені літературні передачі — радіодетективи, радіодраму тощо. В інший час Радіо Культура мовить синхронно з Українським Радіо, транслюючи цілодобовий марафон, в якому надає слухачам і слухачкам оперативну та перевірену інформацію. Radio Kultura project to be presented at the EBU Podcast Forum

Radio Kultura podcast "A Country Like a Pomegranate" will be presented at the European Broadcasting Union Podcast Forum in Oslo in September. According to Iryna Slavinska, Executive Producer of Radio Kultura, the project was included in the cluster "Beyond interview - creative approach to podcast formats," along with podcasts from French and German Public Service Media.

"This truly is a very creative format created by the authorial tandem of Haska Shyian and Oleksandr Mykhed with a producer Olena Huseinova. This is our attempt to work with a format that would sound adequately both as a radio program and as a podcast," noted Iryna Slavinska. "I will repeat once again how important it is to synchronise our watches with the global context. And again I will feel proud of the team that creates projects that sound worthy of being compared to the world's best projects. The selection process for the Podcast Forum is strict, and in previous years we have not yet overcome this bar. But we have grown and now we will be included in the global catalogue of projects that are submitted for adaptation into foreign languages."

In April of this year, writers Haska Shyian and Oleksandr Mykhed created a radio blog called "Ukraine through the Eyes of Travelers" on Radio Kultura and a podcast called "A Country Like a Pomegranate." The title "A Country Like a Pomegranate" refers to a statement made by Pavlo Halebskyi about Ukraine: "This blessed country is like a pomegranate: attractive on the outside and nutritious on the inside." How did the traveller Pavlo Halebskyi, the military engineer Guillaume de Beauplan, and the French playwright Prosper Mérimée seen the Ukrainian Cossack state? What were the differences between Ukrainians and russians in the postwar USSR as documented by Pulitzer Prize winner John Steinbeck and the founder of photojournalism Robert Capa? How French journalist Sebastien Gobert and Swiss photographer Niels Ackermann defined Ukrainian "nostalgia for the future" in the contemporary Ukrainian Donbas. Radio Kultura is the main center of the country's cultural life in the radio space. During martial law, it broadcasts on weekdays from 12:00 to 20:00. On the air, you can hear programs about current cultural events in Ukraine and the world, historical sections and the best examples of classical music, favorite literary programs - radio detectives, radio drama, etc. At other times, Radio Kultura broadcasts simultaneously with Ukrainian Radio, broadcasting a round-the-clock marathon, providing listeners with up-to-date and verified information.
