Різноманітність і незалежність медіа є одним зі здобутків України та ключових елементів у зміцненні демократії та стійкості країни, зокрема щодо можливостей протидіяти ворожій дезінформації. Зберегти його — насамперед в інтересах самої України. На цьому наголосив віцепрезидент Європейської комісії Маргарітіс Схінас під час зустрічі з керівництвом Суспільного Мовлення 15 червня.

«Працівники Суспільного Мовлення нині захищають Україну на передовій, а також за своїми робочими моніторами, тому що достовірна інформація насправді рятує життя. Я глибоко вражений відвідинами NewsHouse Суспільного Мовлення, відремонтованого за фінансової підтримки ЄС, та чудовою роботою команди журналістів в належному інформуванні українців під час війни», — підкреслив віцепрезидент Європейської комісії.

Під час зустрічі голова правління Микола Чернотицький та Родіон Кочубей, член правління, відповідальний за операційну діяльність компанії, подякували Європейській комісії за підтримку протягом війни та відзначили, що компанія сьогодні створює власний контент, в тому числі за підтримки ЄС та міжнародних грантів.

Нині Суспільне нарощує потужності власного виробництва контенту, у тому числі через аутсорсинг. Для цього компанія співпрацює з іншими продакшенами.

«Ми зараз вибудовуємо екосистему копродукції. Вважаю, що це дуже важливо, адже Україна сповнена талантів та ідей. Також моя мрія на майбутнє — до кінця цього року розпочати спільний проєкт разом із європейськими суспільними мовниками та приватними медіакомпаніями, адже це сприятлива інтеграція, яка дозволить прокласти міст до нових ринків», — зазначив голова правління Суспільного Мовлення.

Микола Чернотицький також повідомив, що впродовж останніх днів росія вкотре намагається зупинити роботу Суспільного Мовлення через кібератаку.

У ході візиту віцепрезидент Європейської комісії Маргарітіс Схінас також побував у новинному домі Суспільного — NewsHouse 2.0, дав ексклюзивне інтерв’ю журналістам Суспільного про співпрацю України з міжнародними партнерами у сфері кібербезпеки.

Vice President of the European Commission Margaritis Schinas: "It is in Ukraine's interest to preserve independent broadcasting"

Diversity and independence of the media is one of Ukraine's achievements and a key element in strengthening democracy and resilience, including the ability to counter hostile disinformation. Preserving it is primarily in the interests of Ukraine itself. This was emphasized by Margaritis Schinas, the Vice President of the European Commission during a meeting with the management of Suspilne Ukraine on June 15.

"Suspilne Ukraine employees are now defending Ukraine at the frontline, as well as at their work monitors, because reliable information actually saves lives. I am deeply impressed by the visit to the NewsHouse of Suspilne Ukraine, renovated with the financial support of the EU, and the excellent work of the team of journalists in properly informing Ukrainians during the war," emphasised the Vice President of the European Commission.

During the meeting, Mykola Chernotytskyi, Head of Suspilne Ukraine Managing Board, and Rodion Kochubey, Member Of The Management Board (COO), expressed the gratitude to the European Commission for its support during the war and noted that the company is now creating its own content, in particular with the support of the EU and international grants.

Today, Suspilne Ukraine is increasing its own content production capacity, including through outsourcing, and  cooperates with other production companies.

"We are now building a co-production ecosystem. I think this is very important because Ukraine is full of talent and ideas. Also, my dream for the future is to launch a joint project with European public broadcasters and private media companies by the end of this year, because this is a favourable integration that will allow us to build a bridge to new markets," said the Head of Suspilne Ukraine Managing Board.

Mykola Chernotytskyi also said that in recent days, russia has once again tried to stop the work of Suspilne Ukraine through a cyberattack.

During hisvisit, Margaritis Schinas, the Vice President of the European Commission, also visited the NewsHouse 2.0, and gave an exclusive interview to the journalists of the Suspilne Ukraine about Ukraine's cooperation with international partners in the field of cybersecurity.
