У вівторок, 31 січня, у Ліверпулі відбулася Церемонія передавання ключів та жеребкування Євробачення-2023. За результатами жеребкування, Україна голосуватиме у другому півфіналі, 11 травня. Суспільне транслювало подію наживо на телеканалі Суспільне Культура та на сайтах Суспільне Культура та Суспільне Євробачення.

Під час урочистостей мер Турина, міста-господаря минулорічного конкурсу, Стефано Ло Руссо передав офіційні ключі Євробачення меркині Ліверпуля Джоанні Андерсон. У заході взяли участь голова правління Суспільного Мовлення Микола Чернотицький та голова делегації України на Євробаченні Оксана Скибінська.

«Символічно, що 67-й Пісенний конкурс Євробачення пройде у Ліверпулі — місті-побратимі нашої Одеси, які цьогоріч святкують 66 років братання, що всього лиш на один рік менше за “вік” самого Пісенного конкурсу. Вдячний, що Ліверпуль приймає, а BBC організовує це особливе Євробачення від імені України та з українським духом», — зазначив Микола Чернотицький.

Британські телеведучі Райлан та Ей Джей Одуду провели жеребкування за участі членів української громади та молоді з місцевої ліверпульської школи. 

Україна, яка здобула перемогу на Євробаченні-2022 у Турині та країни «Великої п’ятірки» автоматично кваліфікуються до фіналу. Жеребкування розподілило, у яких півфіналах голосуватимуть ці країни. Україна голосуватиме у другому півфіналі. 

«Підготовка до сьогоднішньої церемонії почалася з того, що над будівлею проведення церемонії прапор Англії тимчасово замінили на прапор України. Це дало відчуття, наскільки Ліверпуль готується приймати конкурс від імені України. Наступна подія в календарі Євробачення в Ліверпулі — зустріч голів делегацій у березні. Кожна країна пройде рубіж підготовки власного виступу. Після цього у квітні стартують репетиції, апогеєм яких стануть три шоу у травні. Як визначило жеребкування сьогодні, гурт TVORCHI Європа вперше побачить в другому півфіналі, а тоді вже повноцінно почує у фіналі», — поділилася Оксана Скибінська.

Порядок виступів учасників у півфіналах буде відомий згодом.

У вівторок, 31 січня, був оприлюднений слоган цьогорічного конкурсу — «Обʼєднані музикою» та логотип Євробачення-2023.

Зазначимо, що 67-й Пісенний конкурс Євробачення у травні прийматиме Ліверпуль. Представником України на цьогорічному конкурсі є гурт TVORCHI.

Суспільне Мовлення, яке є членом Європейської мовної спілки, організовує і проводить відбір пісні та представника від України, а також забезпечує участь представника України на Пісенному конкурсі Євробачення-2023.

Eurovision Song Contest 2023 semifinals draw: Ukraine to vote in the second semifinal

On Tuesday, 31 January, the Key Handover Ceremony and the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 draw were held in Liverpool. According to the results of the draw, Ukraine will vote in the second semifinal on 11 May. Suspilne broadcast the event live on the Suspilne Kultura TV channel and on the Suspilne Kultura and Suspilne Eurovision websites.

During the celebrations, Stefano Lo Russo, the Mayor of Turin, the host city of last year's contest, handed over the official Eurovision keys to Joanne Anderson, the Mayor of Liverpool. The event was attended by Mykola Chernotytskyi, the Head of Suspilne Ukraine Managing Board and Oksana Skybinska, the Head of the Ukrainian delegation to the Eurovision Song Contest.

“It is symbolic that the 67th Eurovision Song Contest will be held in Liverpool, the twin city of our Odesa, that this year celebrate 66 years of brotherhood, which is only one year less than the age of the Song Contest itself. I am grateful that Liverpool is hosting and the BBC is organizing this special Eurovision Song Contest on behalf of Ukraine and with the Ukrainian spirit,” Mykola Chernotytskyi said.

British TV presenters Rylan and AJ Odudu conducted the draw with the participation of members of the Ukrainian community and young people from a local Liverpool school.

Ukraine, which won the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Turin, and the Big Five countries automatically qualify for the final. The draw determined which semifinals these countries will vote in. Ukraine will vote in the second semifinal.

“Preparations for today's ceremony began when the English flag was temporarily replaced with the flag of Ukraine above the ceremony building. This gave us a sense of how much Liverpool is preparing to host the competition on behalf of Ukraine. The next event on the Eurovision calendar in Liverpool is a meeting of the heads of delegations in March. Each country will pass the milestone of preparing its own performance. After that, rehearsals will start in April, culminating in three shows in May. As determined by the draw today, Europe will see TVORCHI for the first time in the second semi-final, and then hear them in full in the final,” Oksana Skybinska said.

The order of the participants' performances in the semifinals will be announced later.

On Tuesday, 31 January, the slogan of this year's contest, United by Music, and the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 logo were unveiled.

It should be noted that the 67th Eurovision Song Contest will be hosted by Liverpool in May. Ukraine's representative at this year's contest is TVORCHI.

Radio Promin is the official radio broadcaster of the Eurovision Song Contest.

Suspilne Ukraine, a member of the European Broadcasting Union, organizes and conducts the selection of the song and the representative of Ukraine, as well as ensures the participation of the representative of Ukraine in the Eurovision Song Contest 2023.
