Три проєкти Суспільного у трьох спецпризах — переможці XIII конкурсу професійної журналістики «Честь Професії». 

За перемогу цьогоріч змагалося 50 матеріалів-фіналістів у 6 основних, 2 спеціальних номінаціях та за 8 спецпризів конкурсу. Усього учасники подали 902 журналістські матеріали, оприлюднені в медіа з 1 січня 2021 року до 31 травня 2022 року.

Переможець спецпризу «Найкраще новинне висвітлення резонансної події в локальному медіа» — «Історія чоловіка, який вибрався з могили після розстрілу. Лежав між двома вбитими братами»

Автори: Олександр Котенко, спеціальний кореспондент Суспільне Чернігів, оператор Микола Іванчик.

«Чому подав саме цю історію: по-перше, я тричі їздив в цей населений пункт в Чернігові, шукав саме Миколу Куліченка, який вибрався з могили — не вдалося його знайти, сусіди довго не відкривали, де ж він знаходиться. Ми знали, де він живе, але він проживав потім у батька свого. 

І це дійсно така історія, коли ти приїжджаєш на могилу, де він був закопаний, разом зі своїми братами, враховуючи, що їх трьох розстріляли, йому просто пощастило, що він в певний момент поворушив головою і куля пройшла на виліт.

Чернігівщина і саме люди на Чернігівщині з перших днів повномасштабного вторгнення на собі відчули, що таке війна і що таке “рускій мір”. І ось саме Микола Куліченко, я думаю, відчув це найбільше серед усіх людей на Чернігівщині, а історій жахливих там багато. Тому дякую Миколі Куліченко, що він вижив. Слава Україні», — сказав Олександр Котенко під час отримання спецпризу. 

Зміг вибратися з могили після того, як росіяни розстріляли його в лісопосадці разом з двома братами. Це сталося на Чернігівщині. Троє братів потрапили у полон до росіян після окупації села, пройшло три доби допитів та розстріл. Після звільнення села могилу розшукали, там було вже два тіла. У чоловіків були зв'язані ноги та руки і вогнепальні поранення в голову, підтвердив Суспільному прокурор Чернігівської окружної прокуратури Сергій Хамайко. Журналісти Суспільне Чернігів знайшли третього брата і показали його історію.

Переможець спецпризу «Найкраще розслідування у локальному медіа» — «Чорна скринька: чому пацієнти у Рівному платять за операції»

Автори проєкту: Антоніна Торбіч, Анна Хіночик, Владислав Мартинчук (агенція журналістських розслідувань «Четверта влада») у співпраці із Суспільне Рівне.

«Це перша моя вагома нагорода в журналістиці, і це дуже велике для мене свято, я дякую своїй команді, яка допомагала мені робити цю роботу. 

З приводу цього матеріалу:  я думала це вже після повномасштабного вторгнення — про взагалі вразливість людини, і в яких моментах вона найвразливіша. І я зрозуміла, що це людина, яка хворіє, тому що окрім тягаря війни вона ще несе тягар своєї хвороби й інколи дуже серйозної хвороби. І коли в лікарнях дозволяють собі маніпулювати медпацієнтами й вимагати з них заплатити гроші за те, за що вони не мали би платити. І коли це також продовжується — а я це вже побачила, і є підтвердження цього навіть з вчорашньої розмови з однією з героїнь мого сюжету, що така практика продовжується і далі — це дуже великий цинізм і я розумію, що ця нагорода, дійсно, вона є, але непочатий край роботи у цьому напрямку все ж таки залишається. 

І, я сподіваюся, настане колись той момент, коли лікарі, керівники медичних закладів — вони не просто будуть боятися брати з пацієнтів гроші за ті речі, за які вони не мали би їх брати, а в них нарешті проснеться совість. І вони будуть думати про те, що взявши гроші з когось, вони вганяють, можливо, в боргову яму котрогось зі своїх пацієнтів, який бореться з хворобою і ще й мусить думати про те, звідки взяти гроші», — розповіла журналіста «Четвертої влади» Анна Хіночик під час промови із нагоди отримання спецпризу. 

Журналісти-розслідувачі агенції «Четверта влада», готуючи матеріал на замовлення Суспільного, знайшли докази, що прооперовані у Рівненських міській та обласній лікарнях самостійно оплачували базові медичні послуги, за які вже сплатила Національна служба здоров’я України. І гроші ці потрапляли не на офіційні рахунки медзакладів, а у кишеню медпрацівникам та приватним структурам. У другій частині розслідування — про те, як порушують права пацієнтів у Рівненській міській лікарні.

Програма стала однією з шести проєктів-переможців всеукраїнського відкритого конкурсу «Створюй із Суспільним. Розслідування».

Переможець спецпризу «Найкраща публіцистика в локальному медіа» — «Як живе підрозділ українських воїнів, які боронять Запорізький край»

Автори: журналістка Наталія Андреєва, монтажер Максим Савчук (Суспільне Запоріжжя), Олександр Голобородько, Олександр Рубан. 

«Я не готувала промову, бо абсолютно не вірила в те, що таке можливо, я надзвичайно зараз рада. Поки дивилася тих колег, які також брали участь у номінації про найкращу публіцистику, мені вкотре спала на думку фраза, яку я люблю повторювати “Журналістика — це найцинічніша професія у світі, але ми, журналісти, є циніками для того, аби цинізму у світі ставало все менше”. І цей репортаж, який ми робили разом з моїми друзями, у такій чоловічій колаборації, — це, якраз, мені здається й доводить, що люди, які насправді стоять на нульових позиціях, які можуть загинути будь-якої миті, які мали б стати циніками, бо вони на війні — вони показують всю максимальну людяність, яка є в їхніх серцях. І, власне, після цієї роботи я зрозуміла, що війна —  це не стільки про страх і про ненависть, це про любов: про любов до своїх побратимів, посестер, про любов до України, про любов до всього того, що ми захищаємо. Я надзвичайно щаслива і мені, мабуть, вперше в житті бракне слів», — сказала Наталія Андреєва під час онлайн-включення.

Three Suspilne projects — winners of Honor of the Profession award

Three projects of Suspilne in three special prizes are the winners of the 13th Honor of the Profession competition of professional journalism.

This year, 50 materials-finalists competed for the victory in 6 main, 2 special nominations and 8 special prizes of the competition. In total, the participants submitted 902 journalistic materials published in the media from 1 January, 2021 to 31 May, 2022.

The winner of the special prize The best news coverage of a high-profile event in the local media is The story of a man who got out of the grave after shooting. Lying between two murdered brothers

Authors: Oleksandr Kotenko, special correspondent of Suspilne Chernihiv, Mykola Ivanchyk cameraman.

“Why did I submit this particular story. First of all, I went to this settlement in Chernihiv three times, I was looking for Mykola Kulichenko, who got out of the grave, but I could not find him, the neighbors did not reveal his whereabouts for a long time. We knew where he lived, but he later lived with his father.

And this is really the story, when you come to the grave where he was buried, together with his brothers, considering that three of them were shot, he was just lucky that he moved his head at a certain moment and the bullet went through.

From the first days of the full-scale invasion, Chernihiv region and the people of Chernihiv region experienced for themselves what war is and what “russian peace” is. And it was Mykola Kulichenko, I think, who felt it the most among all the people in Chernihiv region, and there are many terrible stories there. Therefore, I thank Mykola Kulichenko that he survived. Glory to Ukraine,” Oleksandr Kotenko said upon receiving the special prize.

He was able to get out of the grave after the russians shot him in a forest planting along with his two brothers. It happened in Chernihiv region. Three brothers were taken prisoner by the russians after the occupation of the village, three days of interrogation and execution took place. After the liberation of the village, the grave was searched, there were already two bodies there. The men's legs and hands were tied and they had gunshot wounds to the head, Serhii Khamaiko, the prosecutor of the Chernihiv District Prosecutor's Office, confirmed to Suspilne. Journalists of Suspilne Chernihiv found the third brother and showed his story.

Winner of the The best investigation in the local media special prize is Black box: why patients in Rivne pay for operations

 Authors of the project: Antonina Torbich, Anna Khinochyk, Vladyslav Martynchuk (investigative journalism agency Chetverta Vlada (Fourth Power)) in cooperation with Suspilne Rivne.

“This is my first significant award in journalism, and it is a very big celebration for me, I thank my team that helped me do this work.

Regarding this material, after the full-scale invasion I thought about the general vulnerability of a person, and in what moments he/she is the most vulnerable. And I understood that this is a person who is sick, because in addition to the burden of war, they also carry the burden of the illness, and sometimes a very serious illness. And when hospitals allow themselves to manipulate medical patients and demand from them to pay money for what they should not have to pay for. And when it also continues - and I have already seen it, and there is confirmation of this even from yesterday's conversation with one of the characters of my story, that this practice continues is big cynicism. I understand that this award is really important, but there is a lot of work to be done in this direction.

And, I hope, one day the moment will come when doctors, heads of medical institutions will not just be afraid to take money from patients for things for which they should not take it, but their conscience will finally wake up. And they will think that by taking money from someone, they are possibly pulling one of their patients into a debt pit, someone who is struggling with an illness and also has to think about where to get the money” Anna Khinochyk, the journalist of Chetverta Vlada (Fourth Power), said during a speech on the occasion of receiving a special prize.

Investigative journalists of Chetverta Vlada (Fourth Power) agency, while preparing material at the request of Suspilne, found evidence that those operated on in Rivne city and regional hospitals independently paid for basic medical services, which had already been paid for by the National Health Service of Ukraine. And this money was not sent to the official accounts of medical institutions, but in the pockets of medical workers and private structures. The second part of the investigation is about how patients' rights are violated in Rivne City Hospital.

The winner of The best journalism in the local media special prize is How does a unit of Ukrainian soldiers who defend Zaporizhzhia region live

Authors: journalist Natalia Andreieva, editor Maksym Savchuk (Suspilne Zaporizhzhia), Oleksandr Holoborodko, Oleksandr Ruban.

“I did not prepare a speech, because I absolutely did not believe that such a thing was possible, I am extremely happy now. While I was looking at those colleagues who also took part in the nomination for the best journalism, the phrase that I like to repeat came to my mind once again: Journalism is the most cynical profession in the world, but we, journalists, are cynics to make the world less cynical”. And this story that we did together with my friends, in such a male collaboration, I think, exactly proves that people who are actually standing on the front lines, who can die at any moment, who should become cynics, because they are at war, they show all the maximum humanity that is in their hearts. And, actually, after this work, I understood that war is not so much about fear and hatred, it is about love: about love for our comrades, about love for Ukraine, about love for everything that we defend. I am extremely happy and, probably for the first time in my life, I am at a loss for words,” Nataliia Andreieva said during the online inclusion.

The Territorial Defense Brigades of Zaporizhzhia are a powerful component of the Defense Forces of the Zaporizhzhia region.
