У четвер, 13 квітня, стали відомі імена артистів, які виступатимуть у півфіналах Пісенного конкурсу Євробачення-2023 9 та 11 травня як запрошені зірки. Українські та британські виконавці, серед яких Марія Яремчук, Юлія Саніна, OTOY, Alyosha, Злата Дзюнька, Rita Ora та Rebecca Ferguson вийдуть на сцену Євробачення-2023 в Ліверпулі у перервах між виступами конкурсантів.

Разом із креативною командою BBC над розробкою ідеї номерів та концепції постановки виступів українських артистів в інтервал-актах шоу працює команда Суспільного Мовлення, зокрема режисер та креативний директор Євробачення-2023 від України Герман Нєнов.  

«У всіх трьох шоу — в півфіналах та фіналі Євробачення — ми заявили максимальну кількість українських артистів, яку тільки можна показати у рамках таких шоу. Тематики наших номерів, і ті акценти, які ми розставляємо, — це великі пласти не тільки музичного, а й соціального характеру. Я дуже вдячний команді BBC за все те, що ми зробили разом. Скажу чесно: напевно це найкомфортніша співпраця у моїй кар'єрі. Такого порозуміння та поваги до ідей кожного члена команди я ще не зустрічав! Моєю головною задачею було створити для глядачів Євробачення багатогранний, дуже чесний і справжній портрет сьогоднішньої актуальної України! І разом в колаборації з BBC у нас це вийшло!», — зазначив Герман Нєнов. 

Перший півфінал Євробачення-2023, 9 травня

Перший півфінал Євробачення-2023 відкриє ведуча шоу від України — фронтвумен гурту The Hardkiss Юлія Саніна з фрагментом пісні «Маяк». Виступ символізує «обʼєднання музикою» двох країн, номер-відкриття має на меті підкреслити проведення 67-го Пісенного конкурсу Євробачення в Ліверпулі від імені України, країни-переможця минулорічного конкурсу.

У перерві між виступами конкурсантів на сцену Євробачення-2023 вийде всесвітньо відома співачка Rita Ora — рекордсменка серед британських зірок за кількістю синглів, які потрапили в першу десятку офіційних музичних чартів. Rita Ora виконає попурі зі своїх найвідоміших хітів та презентує нову пісню перед 160-мільйонною аудиторією Євробачення зі всього світу.

Представниця України на Євробаченні-2010 Alyosha розповість зі сцени цьогорічного Пісенного конкурсу історію своєї справжньої, особистої подорожі через виконання пісні «Ordinary World» культового британського попрок-гурту Duran Duran, в новому аранжуванні.

«Для мене конкурс Євробачення — це майданчик про музику, яка наповнена гамою соціально-культурних настроїв. Хтось співає про любов, хтось про мир, хтось про толерантність… Конкурс продукує добро. А музика є мовою, яка об'єднує різні народи світу говорити про важливе», — поділилася Alyosha. 

Своїм виступом Alyosha разом з ліверпульською співачкою Rebecca Ferguson розкажуть історію надії, мужності та підтримки народу України з усього світу. Перфоманс має назву «Ласкаво просимо до нас додому».

Другий півфінал Євробачення-2023, 11 травня

У другому півфіналі Євробачення-2023, який транслюватиметься у четвер, 11 травня, глядачам покажуть два виступи запрошених артистів в інтервал-актах конкурсу.

Перформанс «Музика єднає покоління» розповість про зв'язок між різними поколіннями українців та культовою музичною спадщиною нашої країни. Представниця України на Євробаченні-2014 Марія Яремчук розпочне виступ з попурі найвідоміших українських музичних творів у сучасному аранжуванні. 

«2014 рік, коли я представляла Україну на Євробаченні, був роком, коли почалась війна з росією. Сьогодні ця війна торкнулась кожної української родини і тепер вона стосується всього світу. Україна зараз відстоює воістину святі речі: право на існування, право на вибір, ідентичність, мову, культуру. Вийти на сцену Євробачення для українця зараз — це маніфестувати культуру, яку хочуть знищити. Втім, українська культура була до нас і буде після. Вона сягає в глибину віків. У тому, як ми творимо, співаємо, у нашій поезії міститься генетичний код нації. Сьогодні особливо щемливо і почесно нести українську культуру в світ і бути її представником», — поділилася Марія Яремчук. 

Перформанс завершить приголомшливий спільний виступ Марії разом з репером OTOY та 14-річною представницею України на Дитячому Євробаченні-2022 в Єревані Златою Дзюнькою.

«У 2022 році зі сцени Дитячого Євробачення в Єревані я співала пісню про незламність наших людей, в той час, як у нашій країні триває війна. Виявилось дуже складно співати під час війни про війну, бо я переживала всі ті емоції не тільки в собі, а й на сцені не змогла втримати сліз за всіх українців та українок, які щохвилини страждають від російської агресії. Це було складніше, ніж я думала. Цього року мені випала честь заспівати у другому півфіналі Євробачення, разом з такими чудовими артистами. І це вкотре доводить незламність нашої культури, історії, незламність нашого духу і нашої пісні, вона завжди лунає і лунатиме й надалі звідусіль. Незламна наша воля, не скориться нікому!», — розповіла Злата Дзюнька. 

Разом виконавці покажуть, що для багатьох поколінь українців музика — це світло, яке перемагає темряву.

«Увесь світ усвідомив силу та волю українського народу. Настав час усвідомити нашу культурну силу та масштаб, бо Україна має що показати. Ми вільні у наших прагненнях, ми сміливі у нашій творчості», — зазначив OTOY. 

Креативний перфоманс під назвою «Будь тим, ким хочеш бути» відзначить, що Євробачення — місце, відкрите для всіх, незалежно від того, ким ти є. Троє неординарних драг-виконавців представлять на сцені другого півфіналу Євробачення-2023 програму екстравагантних попвиступів разом з трупою еклектичних танцюристів. Виконавці символізують широкий спектр шанувальників, які незалежно від віку, національності чи походження щороку з нетерпінням чекають Євробачення. 

Зазначимо, що 67-й Пісенний конкурс Євробачення у травні прийматиме Ліверпуль. Представником України на Євробаченні-2023 є гурт TVORCHI, який одразу потрапляє у гранд-фінал шоу 13 травня, де виступить з оновленою версією пісні «Heart of Steel» під номером 19. 

Півфінали Євробачення-2023 пройдуть на арені Liverpool 9 й 11 травня. Україна голосуватиме у другому півфіналі конкурсу, в ньому ж глядачам покажуть попередньо записані кадри з генеральної репетиції виступу гурту TVORCHI.

Впродовж останнього місяця TVORCHI беруть активну участь в промотурі перед Євробаченням-2023: гурт вже виступив на сцені Barcelona Eurovision Party та Israel Calling 2023. 15 квітня TVORCHI виступлять з піснею «Heart of Steel» на сцені промоконцерту Eurovision in Concert в Амстердамі.

Julia Sanina, Mariia Yaremchuk, OTOY, Alyosha and Zlata Dziunka to perform in the semi-finals of the Eurovision Song Contest 2023

On Thursday, April 13, the names of the artists who will perform in the semi-finals of the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 on May 9 and 11 as guest stars were announced. Ukrainian and British performers including Mariia Yaremchuk, Julia Sanina, OTOY, Alyosha, Zlata Dzunka, Rita Ora and Rebecca Ferguson will take to the stage of the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 in Liverpool in between the contestants' performances.

Together with the BBC's creative team, the team of Suspilne Ukraine, in particular, the director and creative director of Eurovision 2023 from Ukraine, German Nenov, is working on developing the idea of the performances and the concept of staging the performances of Ukrainian artists in the interval acts of the show. 

"In all three shows - in the semi-finals and the final of Eurovision - we have announced the maximum number of Ukrainian artists that can be shown in such shows. The themes of our performances and the emphasis we put on them are large layers of not only musical but also social issues. I am very grateful to the BBC team for everything we have done together. To be honest, this is probably the most comfortable collaboration in my career. I have never seen such understanding and respect for the ideas of each team member! My main task was to create a multifaceted, very honest and real portrait of today's actual Ukraine for the Eurovision viewers! And together, in collaboration with the BBC, we have succeeded!" said German Nenov.

The first semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2023, May 9

The first semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 will be opened by the host of the show from Ukraine, The Hardkiss frontwoman Yuliia Sanina, with a fragment of the song "Mayak". The performance symbolizes the "unification of music" between the two countries, and the opening number is intended to emphasize the hosting of the 67th Eurovision Song Contest in Liverpool on behalf of Ukraine, the country that won last year's contest.

During the break between the contestants' performances, the world-famous singer Rita Ora, the record holder among British stars for the number of singles that have reached the top ten of the official music charts, will take to the stage of Eurovision 2023. Rita Ora will perform a medley of her most famous hits and present a new song to the 160 million Eurovision audience from around the world.

Alyosha, Ukraine's representative at the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest, will tell the story of her real, personal journey through a performance of the song "Ordinary World" by the cult British pop band Duran Duran, in a new arrangement.

"For me, the Eurovision Song Contest is a platform about music that is filled with a range of socio-cultural moods. Someone sings about love, someone about peace, someone about tolerance... The contest produces kindness. And music is a language that unites different peoples of the world to talk about important things," Alyosha said.

With their performance, Alyosha, together with Liverpool singer Rebecca Ferguson, will tell a story of hope, courage and support for the people of Ukraine from around the world. The performance is titled "Welcome to our home".

The second semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2023, May 11

The second semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2023, which will be broadcast on Thursday, May 11, will feature two performances by guest artists in the interval acts of the contest.

The performance "Music Unites Generations" will tell about the connection between different generations of Ukrainians and the iconic musical heritage of our country. Ukraine's representative at Eurovision 2014, Mariia Yaremchuk, will start her performance with a medley of the most famous Ukrainian musical pieces in a modern arrangement.

"The year 2014, when I represented Ukraine at the Eurovision Song Contest, was the year when the war with russia began. Today, this war has affected every Ukrainian family and now it concerns the whole world. Ukraine is now fighting for truly sacred things: the right to exist, the right to choose, identity, language, culture. For a Ukrainian to appear on the Eurovision stage now is to manifest a culture that is being destroyed. However, Ukrainian culture existed before us and will continue to exist after. It goes back to the depths of time. The way we create, sing, and write our poetry contains the genetic code of the nation. Today, it is especially painful and honourable to bring Ukrainian culture to the world and to be its representative," said Mariia Yaremchuk.

The performance will conclude Mariia's stunning joint performance with rapper OTOY and 14-year-old Zlata Dziunka, Ukraine's representative at Junior Eurovision 2022 in Yerevan.

"In 2022, I sang a song about the resilience of our people from the stage of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Yerevan, while the war is still going on in our country. It turned out to be very difficult to sing about war during the war, because I was experiencing all those emotions not only inside myself, but also on stage I could not hold back my tears for all Ukrainians who are suffering from russian aggression every minute. It was harder than I thought. This year, I was honoured to sing in the second semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest, along with such great artists. And this once again proves the indestructibility of our culture, history, the indestructibility of our spirit and our song, which always sounds and will continue to sound everywhere. Our will is unbreakable, it will not be subdued by anyone!" said Zlata Dziunka.

Together, the performers will show that for many generations of Ukrainians, music is the light that conquers darkness.

"The whole world has realized the strength and will of the Ukrainian people. It's time to realize our cultural strength and scale because Ukraine has something to show. We are free in our aspirations, we are bold in our creativity," OTOY said.

The creative performance titled "Be Who You Want to Be" will emphasize that Eurovision is a place open to everyone, no matter who you are. Three extraordinary drag performers will present a program of extravagant pop performances on the stage of the second semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2023, along with a troupe of eclectic dancers. The performers symbolize the wide range of fans who, regardless of age, nationality or background, look forward to the Eurovision Song Contest every year.

It should be noted that the 67th Eurovision Song Contest will be held in Liverpool in May. Ukraine's representative at the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 is TVORCHI, which will immediately qualify for the grand final on May 13, where it will perform an updated version of the song "Heart of Steel" at number 19.

The semi-finals of Eurovision 2023 will take place at the Liverpool Arena on May 9 and 11. Ukraine will vote in the second semi-final of the contest, where viewers will also see pre-recorded footage from the TVORCHI band's dress rehearsal.

Over the past month, TVORCHI has been actively participating in the promotional tour for Eurovision 2023: the band has already performed on the stage of the Barcelona Eurovision Party and Israel Calling 2023. On April 15, TVORCHI will perform their song "Heart of Steel" on the stage of the Eurovision in Concert promo concert in Amsterdam.
