Українське Радіо було чи не єдиним джерелом інформації для українців під час окупації міста Ізюм в Харківській області — про це йдеться у матеріалі Громадського радіо.

За словами місцевих жителів, росіяни влаштували людям повну інформаційну блокаду: завозили антиукраїнські газети, на російських хвилях крутили пропаганду. «Ледь не єдиним джерелом достовірної інформації, коли пробивалося, було Українське радіо», — зазначено у матеріалі.

За словами місцевої жительки Вікторії, у день перед втечею «окупанти почали заспокоювати містян». Інша мешканка Катерина згадує, що по російському радіо закликали не вірити чуткам (про контрнаступ ЗСУ — ред.), при цьому росіяни «тікали сильно»: «По радіо казали: “Не вірте чуткам, усе добре, під контролем”. А як тікали, колесо ось тут відпало. Покотилось і дим повалив. І вони поїхали, але ту машину кинули біля Дінця, вони на ній далеко не доїхали. Тікали сильно. Я зрозуміла, що вони тікають, бо бігли, тікали із сумками».

Нагадаємо, за декілька днів після повномасштабного вторгнення рф, Українське Радіо запустило кілька нових передавачів середніх хвиль, завдяки яким сигнал Українського Радіо можна чути навіть там, де сигнали українських радіостанцій в FM-діапазоні глушаться чи замінюються сигналами російських радіостанцій.

Під час окупації Маріуполя саме в ефірі Українського Радіо влада міста повідомляла про евакуаційні коридори для жителів міста.

Ukrainian Radio was almost the only source of information for Ukrainians during the occupation of the city of Izium in Kharkiv region, according to a Hromadske Radio article.

According to local residents, the Russians set up a complete information blockade for the people. They imported anti-Ukrainian newspapers, broadcast propaganda on Russian airwaves. “Ukrainian Radio was almost the only source of reliable information when it got through,” the article states.

According to a local resident, Viktoriia, the day before the escape, “the occupiers began to calm the townspeople down.” Another resident, Kateryna, recalls that the Russian radio urged not to believe the rumors (about the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces - ed. note), while the Russians were “running away hard”: “They said on the radio: 'Don't believe the rumors, everything is fine, under control.' And as they ran away, the wheel just fell off. It rolled and there was smoke. And they left, but that car was abandoned near Donets, they didn't get far in it. They ran away hard. I understood that they were leaving, because they were fleeing, running away with bags.”

As a reminder, a few days after the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, Ukrainian Radio launched several new medium-wave transmitters, thanks to which the Ukrainian Radio signal can be heard even where the signals of Ukrainian Radio stations in the FM range are blocked or replaced by the signals of Russian radio stations.

During the occupation of Mariupol, it was on the air of Ukrainian Radio that the city authorities announced evacuation corridors for the city's residents.
