14 червня відбулась Офіційна стартова зустріч організаторів від України з Наглядовою радою, партнерами Пісенного конкурсу Євробачення та основною командою Європейської мовної спілки (ЄМС). На ній представники конкурсу і ЄМС розглянули презентацію гарантій і заходів підготовки, зокрема опитувальника з безпеки, потенційних локацій для проведення конкурсу, що були підготовлені командою Суспільного Мовлення спільно з урядом України. 

«Усі заходи, пов’язані з безпекою та охороною, мають бути підготовлені та реалізовані у тісній співпраці з національними органами державної влади. Тож ми провели консультації з Міністерством культури та інформаційної політики України, Міністерством оборони і МВС (Нацполіцією, ДСНС, Нацгвардією). Їхні фахівці спільно з підрозділами з безпеки й оцінки ризиків Суспільного підготували спільне бачення безпекової ситуації і заходів, яких треба вжити для проведення Євробачення наступного року. Ми вдячні державним органам за залученість і оперативну підготовку», — розповів голова правління Суспільного Мовлення Микола Чернотицький. 

Робоча група Суспільного разом з органами державної й місцевої влади розглядає кілька варіантів проведення події в трьох різних регіонах України.  

«Вчора ми подали презентацію опитувальника щодо проведення Євробачення в Україні до Європейської мовної спілки. В дуже стислі терміни урядовій команді вдалось надати ґрунтовні та всеохопні відповіді. Всі спрацювали дуже ефективно та злагоджено, від суспільного мовника та безпекових відомств до Прем’єр-міністра, який запевнив листом, що всі зобов’язання, які ми на себе взяли, будуть виконані. Ми детально відповіли щодо безпекових питань та інших нюансів організації, запропонували декілька місць проведення. На мій погляд, у нас мають бути вичерпні, чіткі й чесні відповіді на запитання — такими ми їх зробили. Ми розуміємо, що в сьогоднішніх обставинах і ми, і ЄМС мають виклик з організації Євробачення в Україні. Але ми цей виклик прийняли, та, впевнений, що ще всіх здивуємо», — розповів міністр культури та інформаційної політики Олександр Ткаченко.

Крім того, 10 червня Кабінет Міністрів України створив організаційний комітет з підготовки та проведення в Україні у 2023 році Пісенного конкурсу Євробачення. 

Нагадаємо, що після перемоги гурту «Kalush Orchestra» на Євробачення-2022 в Турині Україна отримала право на проведення міжнародного пісенного конкурсу наступного року.  

Суспільне Мовлення, яке є членом Європейської мовної спілки, забезпечує відбір і участь представника України у Пісенному конкурсі Євробачення, є офіційним транслятором конкурсу, а також організовує конкурс наступного року в разі перемоги України. 

UA: PBC together with the Cabinet of Ministers presented the first steps of preparation for the hosting of Eurovision 2023

On 14 June the Official Kick-off Meeting of the organizers from Ukraine with the Reference Group, partners of the Eurovision Song Contest and the core team from the EBU. At this meeting the contest representatives and the EBU considered the presentation of guarantees and preparatory measures, in particular the security questionnaire, potential locations for the contest hosting prepared by the team of UA: PBC together with the government of Ukraine.

“All safety and security related measures have to be prepared and implemented in close cooperation with the national authorities. So we held consultations with the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs (National Police, State Emergency Service, National Guard) and the Ministry of Defense. Their experts together with security and risk assessment units of UA: PBC prepared common vision of the security situation and measures to be taken for the hosting of Eurovision next year. We thank the state authorities for their involvement and prompt preparation,” said Head of the Managing Board of UA: PBC Mykola Chernotytskyi.

The working group of UA: PBC together with state and local authorities are considering several options of hosting the event in three different regions of Ukraine.

“Yesterday we submitted a presentation of the questionnaire for the hosting of Eurovision in Ukraine to the European Broadcasting Union. Within a very short timeframe, the governmental team managed to provide thorough and comprehensive answers. Everybody worked in a very efficient and coordinated manner - from the public broadcaster and security authorities to the Prime Minister who assured with a letter that all the obligations that we have assumed will be fulfilled. We gave detailed answers regarding security questions and other organisation nuances, proposed several venues. I believe that we should have exhaustive, clear and honest answers to questions — that is what we did. We understand that in the current circumstances both we and the EBU face a challenge of organising Eurovision in Ukraine. But we have accepted this challenge and, I am sure, we will surprise everyone,” said Minister of Culture and Information Policy Oleksandr Tkachenko.

In addition, on 10 June the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine established the Organizational Committee for preparation and execution of the Eurovision Song Contest in Ukraine in 2023.

As a reminder, after the victory of “Kalush Orchestra” at Eurovision 2022 in Turin Ukraine gained the right to host the Song Contest next year. UA: PBC as a member of the European Broadcasting Union ensures the selection and participation of a representative of Ukraine in the Eurovision Song Contest, is an official broadcaster of the contest, and organizes the contest the following year in case of Ukraine’s victory.
