Голова правління Суспільного Мовлення Микола Чернотицький заявив, що Суспільне зробить усе можливе, аби пісенний конкурс Євробачення-2023 провели в Україні. Про це він сказав під час пресконференції 17 травня у Львові після повернення української делегації з Турина.

Голова української делегації на Євробаченні Оксана Скибінська передала Миколі Чернотицькому теку документів, з яких має розпочатися наша підготовка до проведення наступного Євробачення.

«Хочу всіх привітати з цією перемогою. Це настільки круто, що Україна втретє виграла Євробачення, що ми максимально доєднуємося до європейської сім’ї.  Я дуже вдячний гурту “Kalush Orchestra” і фронтмену Олегу Псюку за те, що вони в такий нелегкий час зробили все можливе, щоб підготуватися і так виступити. Я безмежно вдячний Оксані Скибінській — голові нашої делегації від Суспільного, яка також витримала всі ці навантаження і зробила всі організаційні речі, щоб наше представлення на Євробаченні відбулося на найвищому рівні», — зазначив Микола Чернотицький.

Також голова правління Суспільного зазначив, що після успішного завершення цьогорічного конкурсу команда невідкладно починає підготовку до проведення Євробачення в Україні.

«Ми отримали фантастичні показники по переглядах як на телебаченні, так і на діджитал-платформах, трансляції Радіо Промінь. Тепер перед нами постає наступний виклик — це проведення Євробачення–2023 в Україні. Якщо раніше це відбувалося в інших країнах — це питання інфраструктури, фінансів, то у нас, безумовно, це ще й важливий безпековий фактор. І я можу оголосити, що в п’ятницю ми розпочинаємо консультації з Європейською мовною спілкою щодо проведення Євробачення-2023», — оголосив Микола Чернотицький.

На запитання журналістів щодо можливостей проведення міжнародного пісенного конкурсу наступного року Микола Чернотицький зауважив, що це питання набагато комплексніше, ніж просто бажання.

«Ми робимо все можливе, і я сподіваюся, що держава також нас підтримає в цьому, щоб Євробачення пройшло тут. Я сподіваюся, що Євробачення пройде в мирній Україні. Тим не менше, я повторюся, що безпековий фактор важливий, і рішення остаточне буде прийматися разом з Європейською мовною спілкою. Це будуть складні перемовини, я вже впевнений у цьому. А проте, я нагадаю, що навіть у 2017 році, коли Євробачення відбувалося в Києві, це була досить велика дискусія. До прикладу, тоді Україна навіть закладала так звану фінансову гарантію, 15 мільйонів євро. На випадок, раптом щось піде не так, — за ці кошти конкурс проводила б інша країна. Тому в нас це питання набагато комплексніше, ніж просто бажання. Я впевнений, що нам треба зробити все можливе, щоб Євробачення відбулося в Україні», — заявив голова правління Суспільного. 

З цією позицією погоджується і лідер гурту «Kalush Orchestra» Олег Псюк. 

«Багато країн вже висловили меседж, що вони можуть прийняти Євробачення, якщо в нас не вийде. Але я маю надію, що ми приймемо Євробачення у щасливій розбудованій сильній країні», — заявив Олег Псюк. 

Нагадаємо, що гурт «Kalush Orchestra» переміг у пісенному конкурсі Євробачення-2022, що відбувся 14 травня в арені Pala Olimpico італійського міста Турин. 

Суспільне Мовлення, яке є членом Європейської мовної спілки, забезпечує відбір і участь представника України у Міжнародному пісенному конкурсі «Євробачення», а також виступає офіційним транслятором конкурсу.

Mykola Chernotytskyi: We starting consultations with the EBU as to holding Eurovision-2023 in Ukraine

Mykola Chernotytskyi, Head of the Managing Board of UA: PBC, stated that the Public Broadcaster will do all its best to hold the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 in Ukraine. He said this during a press conference on 17 May in Lviv after the return of the Ukrainian delegation from Turin.

The head of the Ukrainian delegation at the Eurovision Song Contest, Oksana Skybinska, handed over a folder of documents to Mykola Chernotytskyi from which our preparations for the next Eurovision Song Contest should begin.

“I want to congratulate everyone with this victory. It is so cool that Ukraine has won the Eurovision Song Contest for the third time, that we are joining the European family as much as possible. I am very grateful to the Kalush Orchestra and its frontman, Oleh Psiuk, for doing their best to prepare and perform in this difficult time. I am infinitely grateful to Oksana Skybinska, the head of our delegation from Suspilne, who also withstood all these burdens and arranged all organizational things to make our presentation at the Eurovision Song Contest at the highest level”, said Mykola Chernotytskyi.

The Head of the Managing Board of UA: PBC also noted that after the successful completion of this year's contest, the team will immediately start preparing for the Eurovision Song Contest in Ukraine.

“We received fantastic viewing indicators both on television and on digital platforms, broadcast by Radio Promin. Now we face another challenge – to hold the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 in Ukraine. If in the other countries this concerned the question of infrastructure and funding, in our country, for sure, we also have an important security factor. And I can announce that on Friday we are starting consultations with the European Broadcasting Union in respect to holding the Eurovision Song Contest 2023”, Mykola Chernotytskyi announced.

When asked by journalists about the possibilities of holding an international song contest next year, Mykola Chernotytskyi noted that this issue was much more complex than just a wish.

“We are doing our best, and I hope that the state will also support us in holding the Eurovision Song Contest here. I hope that the Eurovision Song Contest will be held in peaceful Ukraine. However, I am saying once again that the security factor is important and the final decision will be taken together with the European Broadcasting Union. It will be a difficult negotiation, I am already sure of that. However, let me remind you that even in 2017, when the Eurovision Song Contest took place in Kyiv, there was a quite big discussion. For example, then Ukraine even pledged the so-called financial guarantee of 15 million euros. In case something suddenly goes wrong, another country would hold the competition with these funds. Therefore, this issue is much more complex than just a wish. I am convinced that we need to do all our best so that the Eurovision Song Contest should take place in Ukraine”, said the Head of the Managing Board of UA: PBC.

Oleh Psiuk, the leader of the Kalush Orchestra, agrees with this position.

“Many countries have already conveyed the message that they can host the Eurovision Song Contest if we do not succeed. But I hope that we will host the Eurovision Song Contest in a happy, rebuilt and strong country”, said Oleh Psiuk.

As a reminder, Kalush Orchestra won the Eurovision Song Contest 2022, which was held on 14 May at the Pala Olimpico arena in Turin, Italy.

The Public Broadcaster, being a member of the European Broadcasting Union, arranges and selects a song and a representative from Ukraine at the International Eurovision Song Contest, and it is also the official broadcaster of the Contest.
