On 11 September, Suspilne Ukraine will once again bring the professional community together for Suspilne PRO, an annual industry event connecting representatives of the audiovisual industry, media, documentary filmmaking, the creative sector, and the international professional community.
This year’s theme, “Endure. Create. Influence.”, will bring together three thematic sessions exploring content visibility in the age of algorithms, project viability in today’s market and the transformation of the documentary filmmaking profession. The discussions will feature leading Ukrainian and international experts, creators, producers, broadcasters, cultural managers and researchers.
“This is the second edition of Suspilne PRO, and I am delighted that the event is gradually becoming an annual tradition for the professional community. This year’s concept is ‘Kaleidoscope’, as it is through different perspectives that we discover new opportunities for projects, partnerships and the development of the industry. See you in Kyiv on 11 September!” says Alyona Holiakova, initiator and producer of Suspilne PRO.
The programme will include:
- panel discussions on who controls content visibility and whether making a good film is still enough; what lies ahead for the documentary profession in the age of artificial intelligence; and why international co-production is becoming essential for a project’s survival;
- case studies, practical insights and Q&A sessions;
- opportunities to meet new people, build professional connections and establish partnerships.
Networking will be an important part of Suspilne PRO. Participants will be able to meet potential partners, discuss future projects and continue conversations with speakers and colleagues beyond the panel sessions.
Registration for the event will open shortly, with a limited number of places available. Suspilne will announce the detailed programme and speakers at a later date. Follow updates on Suspilne’s corporate website and social media channels.
