Suspilne Ukraine has once again ranked among the online media outlets with the highest levels of compliance with journalism standards, according to the Institute of Mass Information’s (IMI) monitoring report for the third quarter of 2026. More than 95% of the news stories reviewed on suspilne.media met professional standards.

“The news stories comply almost entirely with journalism standards, with only isolated minor violations,” IMI experts noted in their assessment of Suspilne’s reporting.

Suspilne’s strong performance comes amid an overall decline in compliance with journalism standards among the media outlets surveyed. IMI assessed balance of opinions and viewpoints, accuracy and reliability, and the separation of facts from commentary.

The outlets demonstrating the highest levels of compliance with journalism standards were Suspilne, Hromadske, Babel, LB.ua, Ukrinform, Slovo i Dilo, Novynarnia, Ukrainska Pravda, LIGA.net, ZN.UA, and Espreso. The monitoring covered 100 news stories from each of 25 media outlets. The stories were selected using an automated monitoring tool and then assessed manually by experts using IMI’s methodology.

Suspilne Ukraine is an independent media company with a strong presence across all platforms: the TV channels Pershyi, Suspilne Kultura, Suspilne Sport, and a national network of local channels; the radio stations Ukrainske Radio, Radio Promin, Radio Kultura, Radiotochka. Find only verified news on suspilne.media, as well as on our national and local digital platforms. We broadcast in minority languages, represent Ukraine at the Eurovision Song Contest, develop the children’s platform Brobaks, and train media professionals through the Public Media Academy. Our Suspilne Mediateka platform offers unique video and audio archives dating from the 1920s to today. Defending freedom in Ukraine.
