The organizers of Junior Eurovision – 2025 shared an excerpt from the performance of Ukraine’s representative Sofia Nersesian with the song “Motanka”. The video was published on Suspilne’s official YouTube channel Eurovision Ukraine.
As noted by director and choreographer Danilo Demekhin, the National Selection performance has undergone significant changes. In addition to the costumes, certain elements of the performance have also changed.
In the 30 seconds excerpt you can see additional special effects such as rain, which highlights the text from the song. Sofia is the only one in the picture, later four dances appear near her. They are holding large glowing balls of thread and performing the now well-known dance part. The performance is emphasized by a variable graphic, filled with both natural elements, such as a thunderstorm, and traditional ornaments, including a motanka doll.
“For Sofia’s performance a very interesting graphics was created. The performance involves 14 screens at the same time and even an alpha channel which allows you to create a moment of surprise. In addition, you can also expect various accents in choreography and lighting, which reveal and accompany the performance. The highlight is that now our balls of thread react to Sofia’s singing. And the very beginning of the act will be radically new”, said Danilo.
We would like to remind you that this Saturday, December 13, at 6 p.m., the final of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2025, which will take place in Tbilisi at the Gymnastic Hall of Olympic City, will be broadcast on Suspilne Culture and on the website junior.eurovision.ua.
A separate broadcast with sign language will also be available on the official website of Suspilne Eurovision.
