Hundreds of businesses and venues joined in promoting and writing the National Unity Radiodictation-2025, which took place for the 26th consecutive year on the Day of Ukrainian Writing and Language. Suspilne Ukraine thanks its partners who helped carry the thread of the written word — uniting people around Ukrainian identity across the country and around the world.

Special thanks go to the partners who provided informational support and helped organize the Radiodictation: Ukrzaliznytsia (Ukrainian Railways), the Ukrainian World Congress, the Knygoland bookstore chain, the Old Lion Publishing House, the Sens bookstore chain, the Kukhnia Sakartvelo Georgian restaurant network, Gulliver shopping mall, and companies Rozetka, MEGOGO BOOKS, and Sweet.tv, as well as the Prometheus professional development platform.

Ukrzaliznytsia broadcast the dictation in five Intercity trains on the routes: Kyiv–Kramatorsk, Kyiv–Kharkiv, Kyiv–Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv–Kyiv, and Dnipro–Kyiv.
“The National Unity Radiodictation is an opportunity to feel connected — no matter where you are: at school, at work, or on the road between cities. Railways symbolize unity — once you board a train, you become part of a big family. We’re happy that passengers of Intercity+ trains joined the dictation for the second year in a row. Last year we received a lot of positive feedback, because travel time is perfect for reflection — and for writing a dictation without excuses about lacking time. This year, more than 500 passengers across five Intercity+ trains took part. Our stewards provided everyone with paper and pens. Perhaps, among them, someone was even bringing home a puppy from the front — and heard their story in the dictation text. We’re already planning to join again next year. Together, we continue a tradition that unites the country and reminds us: the Ukrainian language is our strength and our shared history,” — said Yelyzaveta Kravets, Deputy Director of Communications at Ukrzaliznytsia.
The Knygoland bookstore chain supported the Radiodictation through social media promotion, provided a venue for the live broadcast, and will present gifts to this year’s winners.

Ihor Zarudko, head of the Knygoland chain, shared:
“This year, for the first time, the National Unity Radio Dictation was written in our flagship bookstore. It was wonderful to welcome celebrity guests, colleagues, and friends who joined this initiative. We are grateful to our long-time partners and like-minded friends in our love for books and education — the Ranok publishing team — for helping organize the event. For 20 minutes, all work in our stores stopped — our team took pens and joined in. We wrote together, worried together, and discussed every word afterward. I’ll admit — I wrote it myself too! Even though I live among 30,000 books daily, I still felt the nerves. Yes, I read a lot, but I kept thinking: did I spell everything right? During the dictation, I truly felt like a part of something bigger! This year, it was written even in South Africa and Antarctica — and that’s amazing. When Ukrainian is heard in the most distant corners of the world, that’s real unity. Together — we’re stronger! The dictation once again reminded us how deep and alive our language is. And how important it is to study it not just from textbooks, but for pleasure. Next year, we’ll prepare even better — we have dozens of great Ukrainian language guides and handbooks, so there’s time to refresh our knowledge before the next dictation!”
The Kukhnia Sakartvelo Georgian restaurant chain organized in-restaurant spaces for writing the dictation, providing participants with custom task cards, blank sheets, pens, and drinks.
“For Kukhnia Sakartvelo, as a Ukrainian business, joining the Radio Dictation is a way to support a cultural initiative that unites people around Ukrainian identity. Our guests said that writing together at one big table — with good food and company — was far more enjoyable than sitting at a desk. We’re planning to join again next year,” — said Anna Senchenko, brand manager of the restaurant chain.

The Old Lion Publishing House hosted a dictation venue in its bookstore and even designed special paper sheets featuring a message from the dictation’s author, Yevheniia Kuznetsova.
The Sens bookstore chain provided venues and created commemorative notebooks for registered participants.
“The Day of Ukrainian Writing and Language is a particularly warm and meaningful holiday for our community and the Sens team. We love it deeply — it unites us in our mission to promote the Ukrainian language in Ukraine and beyond, and inspires us to explore it even further. Every year, we hold the Radio Dictation in all our bookstores — and this year was no exception. We received 330 registrations from those wishing to write it at Sens. As always, it was a wonderfully uniting, bright, and heartfelt celebration!” — shared Anzhelyka Babii, communications manager at Sens.

The Ukrainian World Congress also joined the Radio Dictation.
“The National Unity Radio Dictation 2025 has been written! For more than a quarter of a century, the great Ukrainian family on all continents has taken part in this important shared tradition. From the power of the word — to the power of the voice! From the power of the voice — to the power of unity! And this united voice of Ukrainians worldwide can never be destroyed, silenced, diminished, or erased — because it is the voice of an unbreakable Ukrainian nation and my people!” — shared Liubov Liubchyk, Head of the Global Educational and Upbringing Council of the Ukrainian World Congress.

We are also grateful for media support on social media from Rozetka, Prometheus, MEGOGO BOOKS, and Sweet.tv, whose teams also took part in writing the dictation during the live broadcast.
Special thanks to Gulliver Mall for broadcasting the Radio Dictation promo video on the largest LED screen in Europe.

The National Unity Radiodictation was initiated by the Ukrainske Radio team in 2000 to unite people around the Ukrainian language. Every year, thousands of participants from around the world take part. The dictation is a thread that weaves our voices into one — protecting the nation’s soul through every written word.
