Suspilne Ukraine and Czech Radio have signed a new cooperation agreement for the next three years. The document builds on the partnership concluded in 2023 and covers programme exchange, professional cooperation, mutual support, and now also critical preparedness and the continuity of broadcasting. The agreement was signed by Mykola Chernotytskyi, Head of the Managing Board of Suspilne Ukraine, and René Zavoral, Director General of Czech Radio, in Prague on June 24.
“We are pleased to renew our cooperation agreement with Czech Radio. It builds on the successful partnership we concluded in 2023. Over the past three years, our organisations have cooperated through programme exchange, professional dialogue and mutual support, demonstrating the importance of cooperation between public service media. We look forward to deepening this partnership in the years ahead, including in the areas of content exchange, innovation and resilience. Together, we will continue to strengthen public service media and the role they play in relation to their viewers and listeners,” said Mykola Chernotytskyi, Head of the Managing Board of Suspilne Ukraine.
Under the agreement, the broadcasters will be able to exchange experience and best practices in the fields of risk management, emergency broadcasting, business continuity, recovery after extraordinary events and organisational resilience. The document also provides for the possibility of joint workshops, training sessions, exercises and professional exchanges.
René Zavoral, Director General of Czech Radio, said that cooperation with Suspilne Ukraine is of extraordinary importance to Czech Radio.

For several years now, our Ukrainian colleagues have been demonstrating the crucial role played by public service media in times of war, crises and extraordinary situations. I am pleased that our partnership is continuing and that we are expanding it to include critical preparedness, emergency broadcasting and resilience. Public service media must be able to provide the public with reliable information under all circumstances. And in crisis situations, radio can often be the only source of information,” said René Zavoral, Director General of Czech Radio.
As a reminder, in 2022, Czech Radio became one of the first public service broadcasters to ensure the uninterrupted broadcast of Ukrainian Radio via the mujRozhlas audio portal, as well as through DAB+ and DVB-T2 networks. In 2023, Suspilne Ukraine and Czech Radio signed a mutual cooperation agreement. In March 2025, Czech Radio donated equipment worth almost CZK 250,000 to Suspilne Ukraine for the Small Concert Studio of the Recording House of Ukrainian Radio.
