Alyona Alyona, who was one of Ukraine’s representatives on Eurovision 2024, member of the jury for the Vidbir for Junior Eurovision 2023 and is a rapper, once again became a songwriter for the National Selection for the 2026 Junior Eurovision Song Contest.
Together with Svitlana Tarabarova as a music producer, alyona alyona will write three songs each for the finalists of Vidbir 2026.
“I am glad to return to the Junior Eurovision. For the second year in a row I will be creating for children and with children. It really energises me because it is our future. Working with children is not easy, but it is genuinely sincere. I hope that this year we will be able to create such songs that will find their place in people’s hearts,” said alyona alyona.
Applications are currently being accepted for the National Selection for the 2026 Junior Eurovision Song Contest. You can apply via form on the official site junior.eurovision.ua by 8th of July included. To get the chance to represent Ukraine on stage at this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Malta, you need to record two cover versions of popular songs and an introductory video. You may also submit an additional original song for consideration.
This year, singer and songwriter Svitlana Tarabarova also became a music producer.
The final of Vidbir will be held in September this year.
As a reminder, last year Lou Deleuze from France won the Junior Eurovision Song Contest with the song ‘Ce monde’, but France declined to host the contest, so this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest will be held in Malta for the third time. Ukraine’s representative, Sofia Nersesyan, came second last year with the song ‘Motanka’.
