A delegation from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) met with the team of Suspilne Ukraine to summarize the large-scale grant assistance project under which Suspilne Ukraine received new equipment worth 2.121 billion Japanese yen (nearly 600 million UAH). The equipment was distributed across regional branches and the central directorate to modernize news production, build new studios, and enhance engineering, IT infrastructure, and archiving systems.
JICA representatives discussed the project’s progress with Suspilne’s management and explored prospects for further cooperation.

The Japanese delegation toured Suspilne’s new radio and digital studios equipped with technology purchased through JICA’s grant assistance.

The new equipment was purchased under the subproject «Urgent Support for the Public Broadcasting Sector» as part of Japan’s Grant Aid for the Emergency Recovery Program for Ukraine (Phase 2).
«Today we had the opportunity to show our Japanese partners how the equipment provided by the people and government of Japan through cooperation with JICA will be used in our operations», — said Rodion Kochubei, Member of the Managing Board of Suspilne Ukraine responsible for operations.
