Oksana Romaniuk is a member of the Supervisory Board of Suspilne Ukraine, elected by public associations and organisations operating in the field of journalism.
On 30 October 2025, Oksana Romaniuk began her second term in this position after being re-elected. Her first term lasted from 29 October 2020, new term — from 13 February 2026.
Higher education. National Technical University of Ukraine “Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”, Faculty of Linguistics (1996–2001); Harvard University, programme in international security, women’s leadership and international relations (2016); University of Oxford, Summer School in Media Law (2017). Completed a training programme in financial literacy on 28–29 August at KSE Graduate Business School.
2020–present: Member of the Supervisory Board of Suspilne Ukraine.
2011–2012 – Project Coordinator for the International Federation of Journalists in seven post-Soviet countries (management of programmes related to journalist safety, strategic planning, monitoring and evaluation of project implementation).
Since August 2010 – representative of the international organisation Reporters Without Borders in Ukraine (monitoring violations of journalists’ rights and freedom of speech, organising actions and campaigns for freedom of speech, round tables, seminars, and research).
2007–2013 — media expert (conducting seminars and training sessions for journalists in post-Soviet countries, lecturing at journalism universities in Ukraine).
2007–2008 — participated in the development and led projects supported by the International Federation of Journalists, the European Federation of Journalists, the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine, and the Independent Media Trade Union of Ukraine.
2003–2007 — Oksana Romaniuk monitored the situation in the field of freedom of speech in Ukraine for the organisation Reporters Without Borders.
2000–2008 — created and headed the English news service at UNIAN.
2020–2025 — Oksana Romaniuk’s first term as a member of the Supervisory Board of Suspilne Ukraine.
30 October 2025 — Oksana Romaniuk took office after being re-elected as a member of the Supervisory Board of Suspilne Ukraine.
Author of the safety guide for Ukrainian journalists in six post-Soviet countries, “Hostages of Information”. Two guides for journalists were published under the editorship of O. M. Romaniuk. Author of numerous publications in the media, research papers, methodologies, and statements.
