On March 28, Suspilne Odesa buildings were damaged as a result of a Russian attack. One of the buildings was hit by a Shahed’ drone and cannot be restored. Other premises sustained damage, with windows blown out.
There were no fatalities or injuries. The team continues to work.
“Last night, as a result of a massive attack by Shahed-type strike drones on the city of Odesa, the Suspilne Odesa branch suffered significant damage and destruction. One of the buildings was directly hit by a Shahed drone and cannot be restored. All office premises were left without windows, and there is damage inside the offices. The Suspilne Academy was also affected. Fortunately, none of our employees were injured,” said Nazarii Maksymchuk, manager of Suspilne Odesa.
“We are living through the fifth year of the full-scale war. The team had been instructed on how to act in such emergencies. But in reality, it is impossible to be fully prepared for something like this. However, our filming equipment was stored in safe locations, so the newsroom continues to operate as usual,” said Olena Holda, editor-in-chief of Suspilne Odesa and the Southern hub.
